Kim has been employed at the Narragansett Bay Commission since 1991 after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island. As an Environmental Chemist, she is responsible for Trace Metals and Mercury analysis.
As a longtime member of RICWA, Kim joined the operator’s challenge team, Ocean State Alliance, in 2017 as the first female on the Rhode Island team. From 2017 to 2019, she team went on to win three national awards at the annual competition at WEFTEC.
In 2018, she was awarded the James Marvelle Award from RICWA and is now serving as secretary on the executive board.
