This course is offered in conjunction with the Board for the purposes of preparing for the Grade 1 exam only; however those prepping for the Grade 2 exam will find this course beneficial as well. It is intended for those seeking to review material and will cover a wide range of wastewater topics including:
- Preliminary, Primary, and Secondary Treatment.
- Disinfection and Solids Handling.
- Sample collection, laboratory testing, safety, and maintenance.
- Wastewater math.
Because the Rhode Island Board of Certification of Operators of Wastewater Treatment Facilities only offers licensure to approved applicants, passing this course is not necessarily a guarantee of securing the Rhode Island Grade 1 license.
This review course is based on the well known CSU Sacramento home-study course manuals for WWTP operations. Purchasing the Sacramento manual is recommended, but not required.
